AVN Media Network announced today that one of the most dynamic forces in music—Grammy Award-winning recording artist, producer and DJ Diplo—has been selected as the 2020 AVN Awards musical guest.  With billions of streams to date and global chart-topping hits, Diplo will bring a unique element to this year’s show.  The AVN Awards, the sexiest awards show of the year, will take place on January 25, 2020 at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas.  AVN president Tony Rios made today’s announcement.

Diplo, born Thomas Wesley Pentz, is one of the most dynamic forces in music today. Celebrated the world over, he has just this year launched a new house-music focused label, Higher Ground, and a country music project, Thomas Wesley Presents, featuring collaborations with stars Morgan Wallen, Jonas Brothers and Cam.  In addition, he is a founding member of the global trio Major Lazer, whose latest release is “Que Calor” featuring J Balvin and El Alfa; LSD with Sia and Labrinth, whose 2019 album has been streamed more than 1 billion times; and Silk City, his Grammy-winning duo with Mark Ronson. As the world’s most in-demand producer, Diplo has worked with artists including Beyoncé, Madonna, Justin Bieber, M.I.A. and many more.

The 2020 AVN Awards will be hosted by adult stars Nikki Benz and Emily Bloom on January 25, 2020, as part of the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo scheduled January 22-25 at the iconic venue. Both the 2020 AVN Awards and the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo are presented by MyFreeCams.
