Not to mention the look on people’s faces when they find out what you do.

I work in mainstream comics and animation and yes you’ve read my stuff or bought the toys. I got into this business as a protest. I tried a normal toon site to teach tips and present stuff. Traffic was good til one day I said, “Hey, if I put a cartoon up of a buxom blonde chick will people visit?” Worked like a charm.

Sure I could have sat behind some desk crankin’ out editorial cartoons (and I do still but for the net) with some editor telling me what I can or cannot say. Or I could have shacked up with some diet challenged thrice therapied animation company chick who’s uncle from Jersey is the finance manager of the big animation company or worse (is there worse?), I could have slaved away at some hack heavy comic book company churning out issue after issue of non intrinsic pablum directed at selling toys and not quality storytelling. (Yes there is worse). Yet after years of seeing other cartoonists turn into turds who lost their cutting edge I said like many of you now or then: “Fuck it!”

Heck, I even use my real name just to freak out my friends, family, and co-workers! Wanna know why? Cause I’m pissed at the BS I run into in the mainstream cartoon / animation / news industry.

Though people will complain about the unethical behavior in the adult website industry it’s peanuts compared to the comics and animation industries. There we’re really talkin’ cutthroat with a capital ‘throat’! Yet you’ll find rotten eggs on any farm so I was prepared for it after surfing the net and checking out the various adult sites a few years ago.  So I ask why not? Every time I drew a comic book that had some awesome babe in it, it would sell. Take their clothes off says I. It works!
